The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT3 is shockproof up to 2m, waterproof up to 12m and freeze proof down to -10 degrees C.

In this video you can see the camera being dropped from a fair height onto a metal pier, and it just bounces :)

The FT3 also includes a 3D feature that takes 20 images, and selects the 2 best combined into a 3D image you can view on your TV.  It also includes a GPS.  The GPS includes a compass, altometer and barometer, and the camera will show you where you are.

It records full 1080p HD movies using the awesome AVCHD codec which has great quality with incredible compression.

Have you checked out the Sony TX10? Here is a list of other waterproof cameras you might like.

my big bro has an olympus stylus tough (6000 i think) that i borrowed for about 2 months.
it is an ok camera bit the images were soft, over or under-exposed and just not as good as the tf3 and tf2 from what i can gather.
thank's for the suggestion, though

anything apart from olympus toughs?

It is a great camera but I would also suggest checking out the Olympus line of Tough cameras I have one and love it.
