A straightforward review of the Sony SLT-A55 camera by Lori Grunin of CNET, the highly respected tester and reviewer of things electronic and high tech.  The camera spans the gap between mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras and the traditional DSLR.  The camera has a translucent mirror that doesn’t flip up each time you take a photo.  While this has created a lot of buzz in the camera world, the mirror doesn’t reflect enough light (only about 30% of the light coming through the lens) to allow the camera to have an optical viewfinder.  As a result it has an electronic viewfinder that provides the same image as is available on the LCD view screen.  Still image results are a mixed bag but for those that want to upgrade from point & shoot cameras to get better video, the SLT-A55 is a good value for the cost of the camera.  With a 16.2 megapixel sensor and a continuous shooting rate of 10 frames per second, this camera leads its class.  The inclusion of a GPS sensor geo-tags the images which is a very desirable feature for many photographers.

It would be nice if these people would produce reviews using the camera they are reviewing.
I am interested in Video.
Note at 2.02 , she admits the focusing and audio are no good.
So the point of buying this hybrid camera is what?
