You literally have to read the manual to find this out, I downloaded a couple from Nikon, and buried on almost the last page, was the video spec - '1080i' - yet they clearly state in literature, PCworld ads etc, everywhere, it's 'Full HD' and even the big fib '1080p'. I am talking of the 243 cameras you state you chose ten from. All of these are quite high-end pricing, these ten, except the last one at 117gbp. I am not criticising you, but the deception that means manufacturers have diminished the difference between the cheap cameras and the good ones, by using the exact same term '1080p' to describe quite different video capabilities. They have burned their own top-end market in the drive to achieve mass product sales at the lower and middle areas of the market.

And more than half of these, probably don't do 1080p at all, but 1080i, which is more comparable to 720p in practice. Do the research?
