I own the Nikon P520 and it takes amazing pictures, the zoom is very good, my only complaint is the number of shots per battery is awful, I have three batteries and will have to use all three for 300 photos with flash.

No image stability at super zoom, for Canon SX50. Zoom shot and night shot noise level higher than nikon P510 too.

this is a stupid list, it focus on ZOOM but there is no zoom values for every camera. WHERE IS THE FREAKING ZOOM NUMBERS???

If you want to do some birding (and dont have the money to invest in a DLSR + prime lenses) I'd go with either a Fuji X-S1 or Panasonic DMC-FZ200 because they have better fixed aperture all along the focal range... that means more light at telephoto range = more shutter speed and that gives sharper images ... just dont only look at the X-time zoom factor... this is a marketing thing... My 1st coice being the Fuji because of it's bigger sensor.

Canon SX50 HS.... Highly recommended as a "Zoom Camera". Great picture quality for Macro as well as zoom......
