on the basis of feature and good pics u can go for W380,the Sony W380 has a wider angle lens.

The panasonic has more zoom, and a wider angle lens. Overall I think its a more versatile camera.

The ZS1 is the little brother to the ZS3 (standard video instead of HD), and the ZR1 has a bit less zoom (8x instead of 12x).
Thank you for your quick and informative response I really do like the camera you recommended and never even thought to look at a Panasonic, there's just one problem... the price. Unfortunately Im going to have to stay within a $200 budget. Any suggestions within that range... Please =)
I really like the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3, its a well rounded camera, but a bit more expensive than the ones you're looking at here, see: http://snapsort.com/cameras/Panasonic/Lumix_DMC-ZS3
What i like about it is: a lot of zoom for such a small camera (12x), zoom is great for photos of things far away from you and for getting good close shots where you can see the people clearly :) It also has a good wide angle lens, good for shots inside small rooms, or of big buildings (say visiting a foreign city), also it records high resolution movies, and Panasonic is generally known for good quality cameras.
I want to purchase a camera. Im no professional, I want an easy to use good picutre quality camera for vacations, family and friends...
I have been trying to read and research but right about now Im all confused. What would be the best camera for me?
Snapsort.com thinks the Sony W380 is the better camera, but they are close. Based on the features it looks to me like you should buy the W370 if you want more zoom, but buy the W380 if you want an overall better camera.
As Snapsort points out above, the Sony W380 has a wider angle lens (better for taking shots indoors, or of large groups or buildings), and has a wider aperture (better for low light situations). Also its smaller and lighter.
