tx10 is only expensive than tx5

So still why is TX5 more expensive then TX10?

I would prefer the TX10 over TX5, of course as the former is newer and better. The TX100 is nice but it's not ruggedized...

sony tx10 vs tx5 (7:43 PM, April 21, 2011)
Hey Aleks,

The resolution is not as important as many people think (i.e. higher isn't always better) as good optics also matters. That said, the tx10 still takes better shots because it's using the new Exmor-R sensor versus conventional CMOS for the TX5. People should expect improved shots in low light environments.

The sensor size of the TX-5 is 1/2,4 not 1/1,8, so not any difference at all compared to the TX-10. The TX-10 has 16,2 MP while TX-5 has "only" 10,2. That gives me some concerns of how the image quality is on the TX-10 compared to TX-5.
