How would you compare a Sony A55 to Canon T3i?  I am a mom who wants to take good photos of her kids playing sports?

12FPS VS 10FPS ?? I thought the A65 & A55 were 10fps, A65 iq slightly better ?; unless you're using the A65 at higher iso settings.  Other than the extra mega-pixels there ain't a lot in it.

A SONY A55, which is easily the best dslr/dslt I have owned to date.

The A65 looks good but is it worth the £200 extra over the A55?, same af module, same burst rate, low light/high iso ability ?.    I was going to get the A65 but the delay and that overly packed sensor put me off, the A55 is smaller, lighter & packs more of a punch & more importantly for me has great noise control (I shoot regularly at iso 3200 & higher).    Better EVF and 8 more megapixels are the only real benefits I see.   With the Sony 18-250 fitted to an A55 there is no better general purpose camera on the market, that's as small, quick and that produces great photo's.
