EVF is not a weakness in my opinion. As a great reviewer stated in amazon.com "In OVF types, you see what you see in OVF but in EVF you see what the sensor sees and when you make adjustments you can see it LIVE on screen but you don't have that option in OVF's.  A77 EVF's is amoled and it is perfection.

You're right, the Sony SLT-A77 does have auto focus in video mode, in fact because of the translucent mirror it can use the phase detection focus system in video unlike most DSLRs which I hear is pretty impressive!  We've updated the comparison, thanks.
