And also, whether the loss of any of the TS3 modes listed above are to be greatly missed or not…

It would be great if someone could post the complete list of scene modes the TS4 DOES have.

Looks like you are right, sorry about that we will fix that up soon.
Thanks for letting us know.

The information above about High Dynamic Range (HDR) is INCORRECT.  The TS4 has REMOVED "High Dynamic".

Here's the complete list of scene modes which were in the TS3 but are NOT in the TS4: "High Dynamic"  (HDR), Transform, Self Portrait, Party, Candle Light, Hi-Speed Burst, Flash Burst, Starry Sky, Fireworks, Aerial Photo, Pin Hole, Film Grain, Photo Frame.

My TS3 just died, so I reluctantly upgraded to a TS4.  I take LOTS of photos, and in spite of the small number of listed improvements of the TS4 over the TS3, I have noticed a bunch of significant things that don't seem to be mentioned.  Things like movie starts much faster, no longer has a 1 second delay.  GPS is much more sensitive, and gets lock much faster.  I am pleased.

If we don't take into account the difference in price, would the TS3 be still the winner ? Also what are the difference in the speaker/micophone?

Palindrom50 (1:50 PM, February 26, 2012)
I have never seen such a small difference in hardware and in the look of a new model in comparison to the previous one
