Hello

on the V-Lux2 (leica) wich is a FZ100 you can freeze the wandering AF by prssing the Thumpwheel in Manual Focus mode an ten you can adjust the Focus. Depending on the Programmode the EVF or the LCD Zooms in to help adjusting the Focus.

In Macro mode the Thumpwheel ist to "fast" but then you can juse the 4 way Dial for slow Focus.

Yet on good light the Focus is 100% accurate and you can hold the focus with the AEL.
On Dark Lightning focus with wideangle an noraml tele isn´t a issue but on long Tele.

Yet i wish Pansonic could go the way as with teh Previous 2 Ring Design from the FZ50 or with a switchable Ring like Sony used it since the F717. On the other Hand the EVF is to grainy for focusing panasonic should use the EVIL System from the G MFT on the Top Models...

But the fact is the observation wehen Poeple work with the FZ100 they rarly use the EFV most use the TFT as Finder even if they shot Sports or long Tele. I´m just an old guy grown up to use SLR´s since the 70´s (Bad habits never grow out)

Snapsort uses True Resolution which is based on the size of the cameras sensor and not the manufactures artificialy high megapixels. Check out our detailed article about true resolution.. You can see the full specs on the Panasonic Lumix
DMC-FZ100
Snapsort shows the advertised megapixels as 14.

FZ100's resolution is 14 MP. Comparision says: almost the same (9.8 MP) ????

The FZ100 has manual focus, and you can adjust it by spinning the 'wheel' on the back of the body, not the same as a DSLR, but better than menu buttons! The P100 also has manual focus, but you adjust it with up/down buttons in the menu.

I have a question.. do either of these cameras have a manual focus setting? Like where you have to adjust the lens like you do on a DSLR? I'm not talking about the manual aperture settings etc...

The result (100 vs 79) seems very unrealistic and misleading to me. Any ideas on this comparison?
