everyone seems to forget that the P100 has the better 2.8 lens, I have had mine for over a year now, and can't find anything to better it in bridge terms. Longer distance just makes for shakier pictures. your better off grabbing a bargain with the P100.

Can You please let me choose which is better between nikon P500 or Canon equivalent.Coz a lot of consumers are speaking against the P500 poor image quality during magnification as the output expected in the price they boast of.

Leaving apart the specs,how mush high they may be,but what matters is what image clarity it can produce at last.
The very negative images in blogs is confusing me to buy a nikon model.

Please help me admin..

Confused about whether P500 is better than L120 since most of the consumers had bad comments over P500 image quality leave apart the specs here.

Hi... I love photography a lot and I have been looking for a slr camera just like Nikon P100, I have researched a lot, and I have also tested Nikon P100, this camera is brilliant....am gonna buy this for my birthday this month end.

Sounds like I should just go w. P100 and save a bit of $. The extra zoom isnt critical.

You're right, they are pretty similar. Which specs did you hope they'd improve?

I noticed that the aperture got smaller (f/2.8 down to f/3.5), I imagine thats a sacrifice they had to make to make the lens wider and longer.

Also, Snapsort shows them having the same "true" resolution because they basically have the same sensor size, however, the P500 actually has 12MP vs the P100's 10MP, we just don't think that will add any detail to the images given how small the sensor is.
