Hi Vcuillo, it sounds like you're looking for what Snapsort calls a pro digicam?
They generally have bigger sensors than most compacts (though no where as big as a DSLR), some have wide apertures, some shoot RAW, and generally have advanced features like manual controls etc.
The Canon S95 and the Panasonic LX5 are the leaders. Both have larger sensors, wide apertures, RAW capability. They're small, but have little zoom. The G12 has the same sensor as the S95, but more zoom, not as fast aperture.

I presently have a Nikon D300, D100, and a Nikon D90. I am looking for a camera that I can carry all the time in my pocket, and am looking at the Nikon P700 and now the new Nikon P300; I also looked at Cannon g12. Help
