Snapsort , snap out of your confusion , also the P100 costs 800 rmb more than the HS-11 where I live , I can live without the P100`s popularity rating .

Hi again Mickeyg, Snapsort includes popularity in its rankings to help it make good recommendations. Often the specs don't tell the whole story! See this thread for more discussion.

Hi Mickeyg, the site is comparing the cameras to other "recent digicams", and what is saying is that these two cameras are heavier than most. The idea here is that Snapsort will point out the tradeoffs to you to help you make your decision!

I am also a bit miffed about comments such as " Thick " and "Quite Heavy " , for 20 years I carried around on my photography juants , a Pro outfit case with 2 SLR bodies , 5 lenses , filter kits and boxes of extra film & other bits and pieces , I never weighed it all ,but i reckon on maybe 7-8 kgs , now with my HS-11 , I have 666gs of weight , no box & I only carry 4 spare lithium AA batteries , quite a diffrence wouldnt you say ? Now admiitedly 35mm Film gives you a better picture than 10 megapixels , but my eyes arent what they used to be and I dont need a trip to the Chiroprctor after every photo outing . Also how does an Olympus OM-2 + 400mm lense weigh ? More than 666gs , I can tell you .

Yes I agree , why comment on a cameras popularity ? It obviously , by your own results is clearly not the best choice , admitedly the Nikon would be more accessable as there are more Nikon retailers ( especially where I live ) but I bought the HS-11 and am happy with it and because of Snapsorts recommendation is why I bought it in the first place .

As I see, the only reason why Nikon wins is popularity - it is 2 times more popular than Fuji, so this adds 80 points to the rank. And 80 points is almost 1/3 of all the score...

Both cameras look really good. The score page explains why Snapsort recommends the P100.

why snap sort recommends the nikon camera despite the features are more in the fujifilm camera ???
