i prefer to defer from the score.hs10manual zoom is not smooth either is the auto focus in vid. if u r more of a person who likes photography hx100 wud b a bettr option.also hs 10 runs on aa batteries thn the li batt of hx100,wud make a diff if u travel a lot

Thanks I was in dilemma between hx100v and hs10. From your review i have made my mind to go to Fuji HS10.

I have just got an HS10 which is absolutely incredible - the sharpness of images taken at full 720mm zoom is brilliant even when hand-held. If the image stabilization is meant to be better on the Sony, you would have to have a terrible problem with 'the shakes' if you need something 'better' than the Fuji!!
A brilliant camera and almost half the price of the Sony......
