Who in the world wrote made this comparison?? Right at the start it lists the differences and the Fuji wins just about all of them yet they some how give the nikon 100 and the Fuji 77? The HS-30 trounces the P500 in just about everything. It has more features a manual zoom and focus ring, speedlight capable, sensor size you name it. The areas the P500 wins in are in areas that didn't really matter and by insignificant amounts. You really should swap the score there buddy.

I just used a friends Nkon P500  for a few days , compared to the Fuji  Camera , it looks and Feels  like a cheap camera and the power focus is annoying , also the Fuji can focus  better on max zoom , the Nikon was impossible with some objects , I would not choose the Nikon over my Fuji at all and the Fuji has far more features , I think with many Nikon products they expect you to pay for the name only .
