I don't think the facts are correct here...

The C3 has image stabilization built into the lenses, you can record 24p video, and the flash comes with the body, it just isn't built-in (this is a GOOD thing, because it means the body can be smaller when you don't need the flash, but the flash is small enough to fit in your pocket as well if you do).  The screen also flips out, which make taking movies easier.

So other than the viewfinder and the macro capability (which can be addressed through an interchangeable lens), the long list of plusses for the C3 clearly outweigh those for the G12.
