Hi, please see our responses inline in your comment above.

Also, each advantage/disadvantage has a little (i) icon beside them, which has a brief info snippet and a link to learn more. So, for example, if you are not sure where the image quality numbers are coming from, you can read our explanation on image quality scores, including links to DXOMark who does the benchmarking.

Also, see the score page for the 1000D vs the K-x to see which data Snapsort used when it recommends the K-x over the 1000D.

LIE - I have a question - how the heck you calculate "image quality" and what does it mean if it there's 20% better quality? As far as I know there's no way to compare two images and say "the one on the left side is 15% better" if you think that you've invented one, then I'm going to send you 100 pictures without EXIF data and I'll have a huge amount of fun!

Edit: Actually its quite true, image quality is calculated by DXO Mark - the industry experts at measuring such and well regarded in the photography world, feel free to contact them and dispute what are regarded as industry standard measures

LIE - 12.5 EV dynamic range? Sorry, but's even more than 12.2 evs of Nikons D700? Who said that? Do you believe everything written in manual? I know Pentax moves 12.5ev to aRGB files like JPG but it does mean just a thing! Check RAWs and real dynamic range not software boosting, lmao!

Edit:Has nothing to do with the manual, these again are independently measured tests by DXO Mark

LIE - 70% more colors - and another question - how can you know? And by the way is there a screen in the world that is able to show all digital photos colors today? The answer is NO. So how's Pentax better while you can't even know how how many colors both cameras have? Do you know what's aRGB, sRGB and ProPhoto (hint: if you'll find a screen able to show off ProPhoto gamma, then you're set up and know how many colors Canon has - but you have to wait a few DECADES I guess?).

Edit:Once again you are incorrect, you may be dissatisfied - so you can kindly consult DXO Mark regarding this fact to learn more about how they conduct their testing, has nothing to do with the display resolution on a monitor has to do with the information captured by the camera, perhaps such depth is unimportant to you but to many it matters, there are many high end output devices where this can make a difference

LIE - 22.8b color depth? Where you did find that, lol? Canon has 48b if you can navigate through menu, ROTFL!
Edit: Once again, its true, using independent tests conducted by DXO Mark.

LIE - larger screen in Pentax is a con, because it has the same screen resolution as in Canon, which means pixels are bigger, image quality is lower and I don't even want to mention color range :)

Edit: bigger screens are better, by your reason a 1/2 inch screen with the same resolution would be just as good, but that's not true, size actually matters in this case just like many prefer a 1080p 60" tv over a 1080p 30" tv - same resolution and bigger pixels. There are no quantitative ratings of the screen image qualities, if you've used both screens and care to comment subjectively that's fine but this is simply a comment on size.

LIE - image stabilization - Pentax's one works for 1EV or less, Canon has much better in-lens stabilization (I mean in KIT - so telling people there's "none" is a lie - because most amateurs do buy cameras with kits, not bodies only, don't they?

Edit:Thats a valid point and a known issue we're working on

LIE - ISO Boost - can't we do the same thing in Canon? "Yes, we can!"

Edit: this is simply the level stated by the manufacturers,if you don't like it that's fine, but you'd be better of explaining why in order to help other users.

LIE - Better maximum light sensitivity - actually much more better image stabilization for Canon's KIT allows users to make better photos in ISO1600 than in 6400 in Pentax (check for yourself if you can't believe me). Anyways- you CAN have higher ISO in Canon (and by the way check what ISO is so you will understand WHY).

Edit: we're quite aware what iso means, you can read our education section to learn all about it, this is on-camera boost, software boost is not rated

LIE - Higher resolution - it's a con in this case. And what is has to do with image resolution?
Edit: We use true resolution as calculated using airy disc limitations of the sensor based on common fstops and the sensor area - this is a very accurate method - and no it is not a disadvantage it is an advantage. Feel free to learn what true resolution means so that you can better understand yourself

Great site, really, you made my day.

Edit: We're so happy to have helped, glad to know we're doing our job

PS.

Do you know anything about cameras and used any of two above or just read pdf manuals found by Google?
