 sorry im new with the whole camera thing. just want to know how do i save raw format on the 220. tnx

Not anymore, THE sx230 also supports chdk.

the 220 works with the CHDK while the 230 doesn't.
This means that you can save your pictures in RAW format only with the 220.
This is a must have feature that makes me choose the 220 over the 230; I don't care about a built in GPS that drains the battery in a few hours. I travel with a GPS anyway and it's easy enough to geotag my pics if I want to
