This is a hard comparison to make, as the Canon G1X has a fixed lens, while the Nikon V1 is an interchangeable lens camera. Since you can change the lenses on the V1, we are unable to give it a score in that area. We do highlight that above "Snapsort recommends the Canon PowerShot G1X. This recommendation, however, should be taken with a grain of salt since it doesn't always make sense to compare a boutique with a mirrorless interchangeable-lens."
My suggestion is to look past the scores on this one and just look at the advantages of each camera.

The difference of 84 to 44 results due to the fact that you completely ignore the lens of the Nikon.
For the canon the lens alone gets more than 50 points.
This is not serious!
