canon s100 is a compact camera, i can take a lott of photos every where, and it so advance for a beginer like me. its good

Thats right. The information provided about the cameras is quite useful (when its accurate), but the scores are completely useless...for pretty much any camera comparison, unless you were going to buy a canon or nikon anyway ; )

all canon G series are having problem (i don't know if you read about that). the screws inside get loose and fall directly on the power board and create a short in the circuit! This is what happened to my G& and G( and i think they did not solve the problem! canon is down down hill!

The only reason the Canon S100 out scores the G1X is that it gets 20 more points from you due to the fact that it is more "popular" than the G1 X. But the G1 X isn't even on the market yet, whereas the S100 has been around a few months.

Otherwise, the G1X easily out scores the S100.
