i have the 300HS and i think you should keep it instead.  the 24mm is better than 28mm on the 310.  also aperture of f 2.7 is better than f 3.0 on 310.  the 300 is cheaper too!

Help! I have both the 310 and 300 and must return one today. I'm hard on equipment and am traveling, want sturdy with great image potential (the film part isn't that interesting to me).
