@dashie vishnu: it depends on whether you are into more of photography or videography. for photography, 1100d has evrything u need, well mostly.. shot count is also 700(actual: 780).. if u want to make video, go invest in some other cooler models with atleast 30fps framerate, use and compare 1200d with 24fps and other cool model with 30fps, u will see the difference :)

the new 1200D is as good as 100D or 550D, the older 1100D or 1000D are extremely horrible quality
