-Awful pictures, maybe too much compression
- Pictures when slightly zoomed look like aquarel paintings
-Sony do not update the firmware to solve this
+Incredible videos

OTHERWISE AN EXCELLENT CAMERA, IF THE CAMERA COULD HAVE A BETTER LENS LIKE A VARIO TESSAR INSTEAD OF A SONY LENS ,THE PICTURES COULD BE EVEN BETTER,I ALREADY OWN ONE SO I AM TALKING FROM EXPERIENCE,SINCERELY ,PROF DR T M SARATCHANDRAPRASAD CONSULTANT PHYSICIAN/CARDIOLOGIST MOB 09447667713,09746402713[MOBILE INTERNET TELE]

Its a shame a camera this size (large);  has a "mickey mouse", pop-up flash.
And a faster lens like WX-9 would be nice.
I'll just wait for Sony to replace WX150 with a faster lens model

Great camera. Used for holidays and a lot of hiking trips where taking a SLR just isn't practical. Always get commented on how nice my pictures look.
Upgraded from the Panasonic Lumix range as both scratched lenses after a while.
As the cons above show its only weight, size, age and price that are listed as negatives.
For the things that matter in a camera it ticks all the boxes and shows why its rated #1.

+ Great camera
+ Photos look good
+ Awesome screen quality
+ Great Zoom
+ Image stabilizer does work!
+ Good movie quality, stabilizer helps a lot too.

- Screen scratches too easily, get a screen protector- Fucking proprietary "Type-3" USB connector. Mini or Micro USB would had been a better choice- 3-D stuff are store in .MPO format, and will open only with Sony's proprietary software- Like other Sony Cameras, creates lots of Junk Folders in my SD (AVF_INFO, DCIM, FFDB, MP_ROOT, PRIVATE). Pictures are stored inside DCIM/101MSDCF and Movies are *hidden* inside PRIVATE\AVCHD\BDMV\STREAM

Some of the text on this page calls it the DSC-HX100v, which is a different camera.
