Sony DSC-RX1 is one of the nice botiques. I have changed almost 14 cameras and I am a camera freak. I would recommend this camera. I bought it for a whopping 23% discount in AMAZON_LINK and happy that I got this for a much cheaper price!
This is a best botique and the In-camera HDR which Combines multiple exposures and the amazing Sensor size with Very large sensor of Full frame 35.8x23.8mm is a decent for a botique!!

For something that has a fixed lens the cost should be cheaper than an interchangeable lens system. Don't go comparing a DSLR to a compact camera in terms of price because fixed-lens pocket cameras are always cheaper.
And the Sony A7(r) falls perfectly within the E-mount specifications I set so they DID indeed do it.

A modern full frame camera with no lens yet is already at least $1500 (6D, D600, D610). You want a Zeiss 35 f/2 for free?

Just to clarify with an error about the Sony RX1 on this page:
1/4000th shutter speed is available when using apertures smaller than F5.6. 1/3200th is available at apertures smaller than F4 and 1/2000th remains the fastest shutter speed available when working with apertures brighter than F4.

Saying that the fastest shutter speed for this camera is 1/2000 of a second is incorrect and misleading.
Please update this page to reflect the correct specs of the RX1.

This camera is excellent by the way.

They need to strip this camera apart and re-create it, but make is fully weather-sealed (Not holding my breath for a waterproof one) and make it cheaper... I'd be willing to go for about $1500 if it has a fixed lens, or $2500 if it has an E-mount like that video camera (VG-something)
