        Yep nex6 is an ideal DSLR why would an enthusiast buy a camera for real video work?

        Satisfied with the NEX6. The control dial is effective. Coming from a NEX5N find it a little bit weird to use buttons but as a camera, it does the job.

        Good point , Mr. Williams . Until we see that it doesn't have it , we would not have thought we needed it for photography .

        "microphone socket" needed in an ideal DSLR? What's a microphone do for "photography"?

        I agree with Dan. Sony specialist loose their time creating incomplete NEX models: "If the NEX 6 had a dedicated microphone socket and possibly a touch screen it would be my ideal DSLR backup/replacement"

        The NEX 3,5,6,7 is possibly the most frustrating range of cameras with a peculiar combination of features. If the NEX 6 had a dedicated microphone socket and possibly a touch screen it would be my ideal DSLR backup/replacement. Perhaps here in lies the problem, no one would buy the NEX 7, but I would happily pay a bit more for an NEX 6 and lose the wifi.
