Will not power on. The button on the top that is supposed to power on the camera simply does not work. I take out the battery and card, wait, still not working. Battery is charged. What keeps it from turning on? Forget getting action shots.

On camera number 2 after returning the first as the battery went flat overnight when not in use & turned off. This happened a number of times.
Camera 2 is doing the same - time to take that back too - I think that it may be the wifi still working when turned off.

I am on my 2 battery, supplied by samsung, and nothing has changed. I have everything cut off that might pull battery down. Good pics when it works. Walmart will not make it good even though I have had it less than 30 days.

You must have gotten a bad battery or something. I purchased this camera for use on vacation and took over 200 pictures, many with flash, edited a bunch on the camera, as well as a few short videos and battery finally moved to the 2/3 bar mark. I also had no SD card read errors.... I bought it mainly because of the wifi features, but still a little overpriced for what it is.

We were so excited to get this camera. But after three days, we are disappointed with the most basic of issues. The battery only has lasted through 45 photos. It is rechargeable and this is a real frustration. The photos are fabulous. But after recharging a few times, there is no improvement.

The other issue is that this camera immediately gave us sd read errors. To the companies benefit, we think the new ultra fast sd card might be bad. The final word is we love everything about this camera, but the battery issue is going to cause us to return the camera and look at other cameras.
