Great for at the beach !
Choose this camera because of its light weigth and the zoom function. It is easy to use, the menu is simple. Battery life is good. At the beginning I had problems with taking a good macro photo, but there is scene menu and if you choose macro it works great, in most of the times and sometimes it will not focus well. Took a lot of pictures on Sunny days at the beach, with the beach mode and most of the pictures were good. In the shadow, for example in the forest I find it a bit disappointing, lots of blurry pictures. Agree with Tecenda that the flash function is not so good, slow focus. I bought it for 99 euro's.

This camera generally gets the job done, has a lot of features such as face detection, image stabilization and auto contrast. It has no problems focusing, zooming or recording 720p video with wind noise reduction. The Home button on the back is a nice user friendly touch. The processor inside must be slow, because there is a lot of shutter lag and the burst shooting function can barely do 3 shots in 5 seconds. It goes up to 3200ISO, but the images in general are lacking in colour. The panorama feature basically is a scam as the vertical resolution is low defintion (480 vertical resolution or so).

The biggest problem is definitely the auto flash function -- it will REFUSE to take a flash photo until its AF system finds something to focus on, which could mean that you have to press the shutter button TWICE to get the shot. This is annoying and causes a LOT of missed photos and grief for people unfamiliar with this quirk, as if the camera didn't listen to them the first time and didn't go off. They really should've spent their time on making a faster chip and a more responsive flash like every other camera, instead of filling it with silly features like magic frame, PIP, funny face mode and built-in photo editing.
