Hi Annada, the statement "above average zoom" was "compared to other compacts", e.g. for its size this camera has a lot of zoom.  The statement "below average zoom" was "compared to other travel zooms", meaning there are other travel zoom cameras with a lot more zoom.

why is it that above, it says above average zoom, and under it it says below average zoom????

2 months ago you confirmed it doesn't have a touchscreen, and the site still isn't updated?

PL210 is one camera that is easy to use and can give you a high quality pictures and videos. Its 3.0” LCD provides for improved contrast and colour reproduction. Its smart filter is worth checking out with new addition such as Tilt & Shift Lens Effect adds a miniaturised look and new special effects include Soft Focus to soften colours and add an emotional feel as well as Half-Tone Dot to enhance images with a comic-book look. Palette Effect adds an ultra-vivid vibe and a variety of colour options for your images. A fun way to play with your photos!

Hi Randy, I double checked the PL210 and it does not have a touchscreen (as you confirmed), we'll get the site updated asap, our apologies.

I'd recommend the Panasonic ZS7 (or ZS10), they are great all around cameras!

The PL210 I just bought did NOT have the touchscreen as the one you compared to the Panasonic fact, it wasn't even given as an option where I bought the camera. Had it been, I may have bought the one with the it is now, I am SERIOUSLY considering returning the Samsung and picking up the Lumix. I have researched digi-cams until I am sick. There are so many factors, styles, features...which megapixels, what kind of lens, low-light, storage, SD or mini-SD, optical zoom strength, image stabilization, and so on, and so on, and so on..... So, I've narrowed it down to these two brands. Now, which happy with the one I have or, go pick up the other with the better Leica lens?
