A male of the Alpine sub-species of the Ring Ouzel (Turdus torquatus alpestris), advertising its breeding territory. Picture taken in the Karwendel mountains of Northern Tyrol/Austria. Prior to the nesting season, male Ring Ouzels are openly displaying and easy to spot on their breeding grounds.
