On the frontier of winemaking through the early 1900's, the Lyrup Wine Company were pioneers and adventurers. These wines reflect the determination, dedication and spirit of adventure that was required to succeed in the early days of the Australian Wine Industry. Well balanced and distinctly varietal each of these wines has the hallmarks of careful hand crafted winemaking at its best. The deep purple with garnet hues of this wine precede the vibrant redcurrant, raspberry and cherry fruit notes of the wine. This medium bodied wine is fruit dominant but has some spicy tones on the palate which come from careful oak integration. Enjoy with kangaroo steaks with a redcurrant jam, pork loin or after dinner with your favourite rich cheeses. Region: Far South East SA, Murraylands, Riverland Organic status: No. Contains sulphates
