Fujifilm FinePix S1500 Photo #42 Shops on Essex Street - Cafe Tandoori Balti and Rainbow Cars

Shops in an old Victorian building on Essex Street in Birmingham. Not to far from Horse Fair and Bristol Street. There is an old pub to the left, but I didn't get it. On the corner of Essex Street, shops and the former Black Lion pub by Osborn & Reading, 1879-80. Canted bays slightly recessed. Partly surviving shopfronts probably of c. 1900, perhaps by Newton & Cheatle. From Pevsner Architectural Guides: Birmingham by Andy Foster. On the left is Cafe Tandoori Balti and above that is Rainbow Cars. Cafe Tandoori Balti was established in 1960. It is also Bombay Spice.
