Generally, some of the advantages of the Fujifilm F80EXR compared to pro digicam competitors include: it has a slightly wider wide angle lens (27 mm vs 35 mm), has a significantly larger screen (3.0" vs 1.8"), takes significantly higher resolution photos (10.6 MP vs 6 MP), is newer (february, 2010 vs february, 2003) and significantly higher boost light sensitivity (12,800 ISO vs 960 ISO).
However, on average it has a much smaller sensor (1/2" 6.4x4.8mm vs 1/1.7" 7.6x5.7mm), doesn't shoot RAW, has a significantly narrower aperture (f/3.3 vs f/2.0), slightly lower maximum light sensitivity (1,600 ISO vs 6,400 ISO) and doesn't record movies in 24p.
