had this camera since it first came out in 2005 and it broke for the first time this week (lens cover won't retract anymore...)  over 5 years of use and I can honestly say I loved this camera. It maybe have been large and heavy and old but my pictures always came out great. Also have to agree with previous comment, the battery life of this thing is ridiculously long! I took a 3-week trip and about 400 pics and the battery was still about half full when I got back. Wonderful little fuji :)

I have one of these, and one real advantage is the battery life. It can take 500-600 photos, enough for a 1 week holiday for me. That's double what you'll get in most cameras these days. You gotta get something for that extra weight!
