can anyone tell me why one picture will be too bright, overexposed then the next might be too dark like the flash didn't go off and the next could be fine? Could I have settings wrong?

is there wide difference between 'lens' and 'sensor shift' image stabilization?

Yo, I find your data organization just outstanding. It is for this very reason I'd like to comment on your lack of the 'focusing speed' feature. This parameter, besides picture quality, is the "last thing" that separates travel zooms from digital SLRs [that are heavy enough to put a hole in your pocket]. I use FinePix F60 EXR and the delay in focusing is about the only thing that causes me to mess up a picture or two or just lose the moment. With much excitement I search the evaluations of the most recent FinePix F's to see what you guys think of it and how this stacks up against the competition. Though I think it is a gross error of omission, I think you want to do the best for the consumer and make your site even better.

Manual states that longest exposure is actually 30s. If it's like the HS10 etc then you only get 30s at ISO100. You get 15s at ISO200 and 7.5s at ISO400 - assume it was tested at ISO400 hence error in 'cons' above.

Got this several weeks ago and really enjoy getting to know and use it. Good quality and really good pictures. Video does a little "focus hunting", but other than that this thing rocks. Lots of extras and features on this.

Hi Nomie, it looks like Fujifilm has confirmed the camera does shoot 1080p and that the manual is wrong.

HI, anyone know when this will be available?

nomie (8:05 AM, March 27, 2011)
The manual states the 550exr only has 1080i movie recording, not 1080p.

info is wrong, the 550 HAS gps and it has maybe not 24p movies but it has 30m movies for sure!
