I bought this camera a few weeks ago. Was looking for a model to get started in the advanced photography, but my budget range was very limited. I had to find a model around 180 eur. After considering all the options I decided on the Fujifilm Finepix SL245.
My initial tests were successful. Outdoor photography, landscapes, environments and similar subjects gave a quality very close to the Nikon D3000 (One friend left me one to compare).
But indoors or in low light areas Fuji was very limited. Its CCD sensor and other limitations beginning to show. The Nikon D3000 images are almost left without grain and sharpness to which I could not reach with my SL245.
However the quality difference between two models was not so big, and less if you compare prices (the Nikon costs just twice). Also, if the SL245 is controlled manually may improve enough. Their configurations are quite similar to the Nikon and with patience you get a good result.
To finish only comment that the Fujifilm Finepix SL245 is very good Bridge camera (considering price). Good option as a secondary camera for people who want to be introduced into the world of semiprofessional photography, but dont want to spend over 190 eur.
