You can now buy this camera at Best Buy for $169.95.  Just remember, you get what you pay for.  Although a great photographer can take great pictures with any type of camera.

SADLY, i ended up buying this camera, i thought it was good for a first camera, but when i got it, was INCREDIBLY disappointed. Too much noise on video, and sound recording was terrible. DEFINATLY avoid

Wondering what comparisons all these commenters have used to state these things about the camera.  I'm coming from an early 1990s Minolta 35mm camera....this camera seemed fine for the 195 dollars they are asking on-sale.....alot of the websites with comparisons and reviews seem to think this camera is's not a 600 dollar DSLR of course...and for the price it shouldn't be compared to one.

This thing personifies consumer-dupe.  What a terrible camera.  Very poor in anything but the best lighting/ stay-still conditions.  Zoom is pretty, it goes in and out, and is also completely useless.  Avoid this camera.

Eats batteries when not in use.  Must remove unless you have an endless supply of Double AA batteries.
