Hi, This is Jayan Chirayil from Bangalore, India. As a graphic Designer. I purchased 2 month back one Fuji Film FinePix S3300, rs.13980/-. In my review the camera not good for printing and a nice shoot. Daytime only we can take a shoot and not dark areas...(night, you cannot take a good shoot from this camera, fully grain will come to the pics) and you cannot make a good video from the camera.... shitting... quality base! and coming huge file size also (5 minutes continously you are taking a video shoot, your SD card will full!!! file size around 2GB). And the HD quality, very poor.... i am saying the HD quality means Bullshit!!! Please dont buy the camera anyone, in my experience i am requesting to you all. Have a nice day!

I bought this camera and got free rechargeable batteries and a tripod.. very nice camera a good picture quality in its price range..

This has been my issue as well! I do a lot of event photography and every shot I go after I miss because of this 2 second sometimes 10 second delay! How can I corrt this??

3300 uses 4 bateries. you have to buy seperate rechargable batteris of >2100mah and use a seperate charger to recharge batteris

how do u charge the camera ,it didnt come with a charger only a lead with usb 1 end and usb and yellow and white ends for pluging in the tv i think on the other

Just received this for Xmas. Easy to use on sr mode. Need more time to study it but first impressions are that it seems very heavy but that may be because I am more used to compact cameras. The hd video appears very good and macro setting lovely for close ups. Got some lovely shots of Christmas decorations on tree and zoom amazing - robin in the garden came out lovely and sharp. Will have to experiment a little more so hungry for reviews. Hoping it works well at night as all my other cameras poor in low light.

After the auto focus sets, when I fully depress the shutter button there's about a half second delay before the shutter activates, this makes action shots almost impossible as the shutter works too late & I miss the action I was after. Surely this isn't right, (I surely hope not ! )
Other than this , I'm very happy with the camera.

i purchased this camera 4 months back .satisfied with performance,price.but not with lens resolution .poor in night snaps,one is to change in manual operating changes

i also have the same problem. Try changing white balancing, chrome mode etc. Anyway images seems to be sharpness filtr applied.

I hve used fuji's S5000 before and recently i brought this S3300. Picture quality in S5000 was great, but S3300 is very very poor in picture quality. Faded colour, oversharpened or over blurred pictures, no details can be seen in any shot. Loss of money is the result.

Can any1 comment on Battery performance?
coz 4 AA batteries are bothering me while making decision......
Thinking that, could switch over to Ni-MH batteries help in improving no of photos taken per charge???

Hi Demetria, we're quoting the max FPS at full resolution, as Scott pointed out above it looks like the camera will do 8 fps in a lower resolution (small).

On the Argos website it says continuous shooting is 8fps but this review says 1.2fps - can anyone clarify what it is please? I'm deciding whether to buy it. Thanks.
