I bought the Fuji AX300 to replace a Fuji A700 I owned. It worked great in many ways. The compact size allowed it to be carried many places. The image quality is good given the size of the sensor. It can take pictures in tight places that larger cameras can not get into. The battery life is not too bad considering they are AA type batteries. Rechargable batteries are highly recommended. The 5x zoom range works well for most picture taking situations. The build quality is very on the one I bought. I have had no problems to date seeing about 1000 images on the camera so far. The camera is very easy to get used to.

I purchased a Fujiflim finepix AX300 digital camera on August, 2011. Within a week, it started giving problem. The camera lens was not closing (Lens error). I deposited the camera at a service center in Kolkata and got it back within a week. This time the ISO setting was not working and after two weeks again the same lens error reappeared. I got frustrated and contacted the service center for a replacement of the product but they said what they can do is the servicing again. My question is how many times could I do the servicing of a newly owned camera from a reputed company (FUJIFLIM) and why won't they take the responsibility of their manufacturing defects as is obvious in this case?
