This camera is fantastic, or should I say was. We got this for my fiances photography class several years ago and it really sparked my interest in photography. I've always been snapping pics, generally with whatever was available, disposables and webcams mostly. But then this camera entered our lives, and it took amazing and easy to take shots that meshed well with my growing knowledge of settings and specifications. I've now moved on to a Nikon DSLR but when I look back on my favorite photos many of them were taken with this camera and now that I have a little one this camera is once again seeing use as an instructing aid and it also allows my girlfriend to take her favorite shots when I'm hogging the Nikon and still give her more than acceptable shots for sharing on the web.

I don't know what supersceded this line, but whatever it is, I'd wager it's worth taking a look at and if you have this one, USE IT. Many great shots are to be had, but if you feel it's not quite up to snuff check out some of the custom firmware that gives you access to shooting in RAW among other things.
