the T2i was one of the best performance to cost cameras ever. don't hate on the rebel line. no everyone has 3k to drop on a body.

Good luck getting cash for that POS sub $400 soccer mom camera. The rebel series needs to die off.

Definitely looking forward to upgrading to the 5D Mark III.  Then I can finally rid myself of my old T3i, and use the money from selling that to get a good L lens :D

Other than an autofocus system that should have been implemented a whole generation or two earlier, there is no serious compelling improvement over the MkII. With almost four years to develop a replacement, as a Canon user you should be very underwhelmed.

yes of course. first of all, you move from a cropped sensor to a full frame sensor. that means better noise performance and better dynamic range. also a shallower depth of field. second of all, A LOT more focusing point, even though 7D is great, 5Dm3 is much better and newer. It has 1DX's focusing system so it's great. it also shoots at 6fps (7D = 8 fps) but still very close. if you have the money, you really should go for 5Dm3

Can the $1000 price difference from the 7d be justified. How and why?

45 cross-focus points Vs 15? Once again, I stick with Canon.

Yeah, I'll go with the Nikon D800!  Not much improvement over the Mark II.
