guys, does this camera have the basic effects like "COLOR ACCENT" or something like that to keep one color and black and white the rest!???

canon's sensor is little faster than nikon sensor. its vry helpful to wild life and sports photography, coz its IS 2 technology helps to catch more stable image. and the body doesn't matter, the lens u r using its matter. i saw many masterpiece photograph which cam has only 6mp resolution and weak ISO levels. canon's EF IS lenses are much better than nikon at same price.

The 1100D is not very complicated. As everything, with practice you will master it

hi,i want to buy a camera, but i couldn't make a decision between nikon p510 or canon eos 1100d, I am afraid that half professional camera might have a difficult manu, which one would be better for me nikon or this canon? what do you advice me?

like it.. love it.. has great battery life... i shot like 10-20 shots every day for the first 2-3 weeks {without charging my battery, yes it has awesome battery life,personal experience}and i like the quality of photos it clicked ... it is not for anyone who would like to do professional photography... it is not a professional camera, for me, its good for personal use... does a great job , nice detailed and good photos, i would recommend it to anyone who wish to buy his first camera or would like to upgrade to a dslr , if you wish to work as a photographer ,don't buy this or any camera that falls in this range .. get some serious money and buy cameras like mark IV or something in that range, buying camera less than that for a enthusiast or serious photographer doesn't make sense to me... well 10/10 for the camera, price 10/10 , buy IS lens kit... it saves from trouble of shaky image's...

Want to buy camera as a beginner of around Rs. 20000 (~400 USD)....I am not professional but love photography...flora & landscapes are my favorite ones... please suggest best ones..i have reviewed Sony HX100, Sony Nex-3 but confused should I Go with point & shoot or DSLR by increasing budget a bit...

Do you even know how much better D5100 is ?? Dude when you have no light with 1100D all you get is noise dots.. D5100 is one of the best cameras in the market now.. the sensor is much better. do not give half churned comments when you are not sure about details..

I feel it is the best DSLR camera for the beginers. I have used the both and some how i am more comfirtable with canon and also cost is a bit low in comparison with nikon.
The only thing is is its outer finishing looks like a chepar one except that Canon is the best

Foun a great deal £420 for the body, 18-55 and the 300mm zoom ... Great for Astrophotography.

A more expensive camera has better build quality, obviously... many say it's like plastic, and it is... but is not the plastic you normally see... it has a diferent texture... but is plastic, of course...

I bought mine today and is awesome...Nikon D5100 is way overhyped! The canon 1100D does a neat job.
